In my attempt to understand Islam, I came across this book. Beautifully written by Asma Gull Hasan. Born in United States to Pakistani immigrant parents, she is a graduate of the New York University School of Law. Simple and profound presentation of Islam. She successfully articulates the inner meaning of Islamic principles and traditions. The stories and experiences she narrates from her own life give the reader a unique spiritual perspective to the much-misunderstood religion. Reading the book is a pleasure. The language is simple without any intellectual jargons. As a reviewer said "you'll feel that you're having a conversation with her, not reading at all ".
